A Swedish national based in the UK, Svanstrom, 50, joins Rightmove from global investment firm EQT where he was serving
as a partner with its EQT Growth Advisory Team, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Svanstrom, who has also worked with U.S.-based online travel shopping company Expedia Group (EXPE.O), will join Rightmove on Feb. 20 as an executive director and CEO designate before assuming the top office on March 6.
London-based Rightmove cemented its dominant position in the market under Brooks-Johnson’s leadership, offering steep discounts to agency and new-home customers during the early days of the pandemic.
